I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can help me with.   First of all, someone on the list a while back referred us to a supplier for a remote spin on fuel filter and bracket.  I have lost track of where I bought the thing and I hope someone remembers.  The only markings on either the bracket or the filter are, 10 microns, 60 GPH, and ethanol approved.  I need to buy a replacement so …..help?

Do a search on jegs.com for fuel filter.  You'll see several of the screw on type. The cartridges should be interchangeable, but a call to there 1-800 number would confirm that.

The other question is about the fact that the filter says “ethanol approved” on it.  I have been very careful to not let any ethanol get into the plane, yet, when I removed the filter, the o-ring closest to the fuel is swollen and will not go back into its proper position.  The only thing that comes to mind that could have caused the o-ring to swell is that I add a 50/50 mix of Marvel Mystery Oil and 2-cycle oil.  Since there has been no ethanol, could the MMO have caused the o-ring to swell?

Yes, the MMO of two cycle could cause the rubber to swell.  Rubbers and solvents have all sorts of interactions and compatibilities.  Hard to ever say what will affect what without a detailed analysis of both.
