To add insult to injury, after loosing my engine over Pearland Regional Air= port (LVJ) a few weeks ago, which we seem to be able to attribute to some g= unk found in the Mistral fuel rail clogging the small return orifice, I am = also having low oil pressure AGAIN. I have yet to pull the front cover, ho= wever, I am leaping to the conclusion that the front cover o-ring is causin= g the problem. I have tried to address this issue several times now. I ha= ve installed the extra support ring provided by Maztatrix. I use no gasket= and still have a problem. Similar to you, I installed a small tube in the passage last time I messed = with this to hopefully prevent the oil ring blowing out....if I understand = correctly due to cold start pressure. However, unlike you, mine was just p= ressed in aluminum tube modified to fit with holes drilled in the tube to s= till allow flow if the tube dislodged. How is your modification working? What thoughts do you, or others, have? I think I know the other things that could cause low pressure and do not th= ink they are the issue (such as the pump retaining key slipping out, pressu= re regulator falling out as it safety tied etc). To add insult to injury, after loosing my engine over Pearland Regional = Airport (LVJ) a few weeks ago, which we = seem to be able to attribute to some gunk found in the Mistral fuel rail cl= ogging the small return orifice, I am also having low oil pressure AGAIN.  I have yet to pull the fron= t cover, however, I am leaping to the conclusion that the front cover = o-ring is causing the problem.  I have tried to address this issue sev= eral times now.  I have installed the extra support ring provided by Maztatrix.&nbs= p; I use no gasket and still have a problem.

Similar to you, I installed a small tube in the passage last= time I messed with this to hopefully prevent the oil ring blowing out....i= f I understand correctly due to cold start pressure= .  However, unlike you, mine was just pressed in aluminum tube modified to fit with holes drilled in the tube to still allo= w flow if the tube dislodged.

How is your modification working?  What thoughts do you, or others,= have?

I think I know the other things that could cause low pressure and do not= think they are the issue (such as the pump retaining key slipping out, pre= ssure regulator falling out as it safety tied etc).  It is a new oil p= ump replaced the last time this problem happened.

I hopefully will get out to the hangar = I rented at LVJ tomorrow and remove= the cover to know more but am curious about your success or lack of.
