I've got 202,000 miles on it. For = the past five or six years, I've changed the oil when I've gotten tired = of adding make up oil. Before that, I used whatever was cheapest at the = parts store I happened to find myself, or whatever the lube shop put in = it. This is generally called abuse of a perfectly good engine. I will = keep running it this way till it keels over and I can replace it with a = Jeep, because at this point I'm looking for an excuse to buy a knew = vehicle. I've had 3 fender-benders that left me laying in the back = seat, and the thing is no longer comfortable to ride in. The front = bumper air dam is held on by a ratchet strap. I quit caring a while = back. The point is, "I used oil X, and the motor didn't die" is not a = particularly helpful statement. One thing that I always made sure of, is that I picked the right = viscosity for the season I changed the oil in. 10W40 in summer, and = 10W30 in winter. Though, I don't think it mattered, because I would run = the w30 most of the way through summer, and then the w40 well into the = winter.
