You didn't mention what the EC2 EGTs were reading but they should read 0 or 32 if jumpered correctly.   They should blink only if out of limits (32 is not out of default limits) but check what the High & low limits are and set them above (high limit)  & below (low limit) whatever the EGTs are reading and they should stop blinking.
