Good flight in the RV-8 to & from Sun N Fun, good to see a few of you rotorheads there. Only had time for a short day there as I was on the way to Colorado. The Cozy Girrls and Ed Klepis were there to fly the rotary flag at the engine tent but literally everyone else couldn't make it this year. Even the Lycosaurus guys were absent since the driver of their truck fell asleep at the wheel and totaled truck, trailer, etc. Nobody hurt though. Bud Warren and the guy that was going to take over his Geared Drive business have left the scene so no LS-X engines there either. Eggenfelner has exited the Subaru business so there was very little in the way of commercial alternative engine suppliers there. My RV-8 and a Subaru SVX powered low wing plane of unknown make was in the auto powered section.
