These symptoms could all be explained by the coils not being able to keep up,
including the EGT anomaly. It could also
be an issue with a trigger wheel that isn't able to keep up.
What coils are you using? Do you have any way of increasing the power that is
reaching them (increase voltage? remove
supply resistance by shortening the supply and ground paths, or increasing the
wire gauge?)
