I agree with Tom, I had a similar problem a couple of years back, thought my computer was infected, and really it was my Comcast.net account on the web. Discovered this because I had a couple of addresses on the web server that I DIDN’T have on the laptop that were expired. I started getting undeliverable messages from these at the same time that my account started sending out these spam messages.

Changed the Comcast password and the problem went away.
