I have an oil temp sensor in t= he end of my remote oil-filter mount.
Staring at it last night, it is no= t really protruding into the oil
flow.  It sits back in a sort of s= heltered alcove.  I think my oil
temp readings may be skewed to the= cool side by the arrangement.

I'd like to move it to the 1/2" aluminum b= lock that covers the filter
mount on the engine, but drilling and tappin= g the block for a 1/8th NPT
hole would leave very little aluminum on the= top and bottom of the block to hold the
sensor.  Does anyone have = a spare 93-99 Manifold Air Temp Sensor that
they wouldn't mind parting w= ith?  They look like this:
