I have an oil temp sensor in the end of my remote oil-filter mount.
Sta= ring at it last night, it is not really protruding into the oil
flow.&nb= sp; It sits back in a sort of sheltered alcove.  I think my oil
tem= p readings may be skewed to the cool side by the arrangement.

I'd like to move= it to the 1/2" aluminum block that covers the filter
mount on the engin= e, but drilling and tapping the block for a 1/8th NPT
hole would leave v= ery little aluminum on the top and bottom of the block to hold the
senso= r.  Does anyone have a spare 93-99 Manifold Air Temp Sensor that
th= ey wouldn't mind parting with?  They look like this:
