I'm running about 7in on this one. I'll cut it down to 5 on the next one.  The gear is bottomed out at that point.
The design calls for a retractable nose wheel, but I modified mine to be fixed.  Much lighter, and if I try to land with the mains up the plane is still somewhat controllable and I won't suffer a prop strike.

Is that front gear retractable?
