Oh, there are plenty available, there just aren't any that don't cost more than a decent radio! I've found these two (Ernest mentioned the first one already) are good sources:

MPJA sells 1/2" units for standard toggle switches. Eric at Perihelion sells a range of options, including U- and D-shaped side guards for both 1/2" and 1/4" switches. The side guards aren't QUITE as secure as the ones with a hinged flap, but they definitely help.

You can also get 1/2" U-channel from McMaster or the Borg and cut these lengths yourself. They may not be the dreamy red-flapper type, but considering how easy they are to make, it's easy, cheap insurance.
