Actually, since the liquid is essentially = incompressible - the=20 pressure at one point in the line is the same at all points when=20  there is no flow - as you know.  Of course flow will cause = some=20 pressure drop through restrictions, etc.  But, you could have the = pressure=20 regulator in the rail before the injector and it would still regulator = the=20 pressure the same way - by releasing fuel back to the = tanks.
