I flew the Ross PSRU 200 hours on my Long EZ (rotary)
and after 2 failures I am installing a Marcotte PSRU. Ross recommended using engine oil and Marcotte says to
use gearbox oil that requires a reservoir.
This has brought back to the surface a question I've had niggling about in the background. The planetary gear system Tracy uses was designed to be lubricated by Dexron/Mercon II or III. What, if anything, are we giving away for the convenience of using the engine oil pump?
