We don=E2=80=99t spin test every flywheel configuration = we make since we meet the SFI specifications for material properties rather= than burst tests.  I can confidently say that the flywheel will withs= tand 15,000 rpm easily so burst rpm hasn=E2=80=99t been a concern.  Th= e cover of the pressure plate will fail long before the flywheel and the pr= essure plates we have burst tested (see attached photos).  We certify = the pressure plates to 8700 rpm for the pull type and 9500 for the push typ= e 240mm RX7 pressure plates.  Per the SFI specifications, which requir= e a minimum 50% RPM allowance for safety, the covers were able to withstand= at least 13,050 and 14,250 rpm for one hour.
