It is still possible to buy complete engines a= lthough rebuilders don't like to do it, as they have only so many of th= e expensive, difficult to obtain parts available.=A0 It's easier to get= a brand new Renesis, since Mazda still makes the new parts.=A0 You can eve= n buy a factory-new crate engine of those.=A0 If you know who you want to b= uild your engine, then just call them and see if they'll sell you a who= le one.

If you want to build it yourself, then just do some sleuthing.=A0 Wrecked R= X-8's are fairly common.=A0 There's a guy I know outside Seattle wi= th about a hundred RX's of all generations in his shopyard, going all t= he way back to the early 70s.=A0 There are fewer and fewer 3rd generation R= X-7 wrecks because there aren't too many of them left and the owners no= w tend to be careful with them, but sometimes they turn up.=A0 rx7club.com has an active buy/sel= l/trade section.=A0 For a core engine, it doesn't really matter what it= s history is.
