Yeah .... was expecting that but it;s good to have the exact specs (threads, etc.)
Kind of like the 'dent puller' they have in body shops.

Crazy pricing for a once use tools.

Thanks.

Thomas,

Be sure you have the means to separate the two parts of the eccentric shaft before you crack the case.  It is a simple tool that the dealer wanted $800 for.  I made one from parts in my scrap box in about 15 minutes.  It consists of a threaded rod with nut, and one end threaded to fit the hole in the shaft.  18 mm, don’t remember the pitch, but it is the same as the O2 sensor.  and a heavy chunk of metal with a loose fit hole that the rod goes threw it and reaches beyond the end of the shaft.

Of course you may know all this already.  Good luck!

Subject: [FlyRotary] 20B Rebuild

A little prep work before I start my rebuild.........
Is there any machine work that needs to be done to the eccentric shaft (such as would be done with a crankshaft?)

How do I know that I am replacing the rotor in the correct position.

I won't crack the case open until this fall but these are just the nagging questions I have.
