Thanks Ernest,

I have a 2nd gen P Port that needs EFI and ignition and MS 2 with the latest
SW should work.  I do not have the luxury of using the 2nd gen CAS as it is
in the way of the v belts for the remote water pump and alternator.  I have
to come up with a trigger wheel on the E shaft.  I plan on using 4 RX-8
yellow injectors and maybe Kurt stage them.  I have downloaded the software
on to a laptop with windoz XP.  I like the redundancy of the EDIS but
without a fuel backup I feel it might be useless.  EZs are midwing and I
lose fuel pump when the power goes out.  Will have dual batteries and
essential bus and appropriate switching.  I have not purchased any of the
EFI or ignition parts yet and just trying to understand what options are out
there

I'm using the 36-1 trigger wheel, and can testify that it does work.

The sensor mounting is in relation to the trigger wheel.  Rotate the
trigger wheel 23 degrees forces you to rotate the sensor the same 23.
It works the other way to.  You can clock the trigger wheel relative to
the crankshaft so that the sensor can be mounted in a more convenient
place.  You can add a correction via the tuner software, but that can
make things more complicated.

I've had several exchanges with the some of the people on the RX7 Club
forums.

The MS is a fairly flexible piece of equipment.  If you could describe
what your goals are and how you'd like to accomplish them, what pieces
you've settled on so far, then I, and some people much more
knowledgeable than I, could offer better advice.
