Making the 'ring' for the mount might be a close analog to floating your own sheetrock, since the rings can be bought from several different sources, not to mention that almost any kit that uses Lyc power will have a motor mount available that will bolt right up, if the accessories are kept within the ring area. If you can pull this off afford-ably, you're going to be a (rotary) cult hero!
