Yeah, I am aware and concerned = about the weight. That being said, this unit fell into my lap, almost lite= rally. When I started my job as a cop several years ago, I met a fellow b= uilder in the city where I work. He is building an RV-7 with an Eggenfelde= r Soob in his garage. We have become fast friends. He is an engineer by d= egree and training. He has goobs of experience in aviation and engineering= . Following years in the auto industry as a mechanic for Audi, while he wa= s in school, and then in auto crash analysis before he started his own comp= any. The company installs A/C in A/C's. He has contracts with several big= boys with units in everything from the factory Velocity turbo model to Moo= ney's, Cessna, Piper etc. The A/C would only be a vague consideration if n= ot for him and his knowledge, talent and the one hell of a demo deal he gav= e me on it. (including me doing the fiberglass work on his cowls...and a bi= t of legal reviews since I am still a lawyer ;-)).
