The Velocity is no= t a big welded craft, but there were a few things I would at least have ent= ertained, even if I would have farmed them out anyway. On the rotary front, since I dedicated a bus for just the EM2/EC2 and reins= talled the units in the plane (currently using Rino's old unit since the wi= ring is correct for it...my unit has a pin difference being a later unit), = I am currently NOT having my tach dropping out at 6000 rpm (so far). Last = night I did a quick run up after leaving from the welding class and ran up = to 6450 rmp static at about 34.5 MAP. I had trouble holding it with the br= akes...and this was on rough asphalt. I hope to get out there in a bit and= do some tuning and RE-determine best cranking settings. It is starting qu= ickly when cold at full rich mixture. Gotta keep it a full mixture for a f= ew minutes till it warms. However, it is taking quite a bit of fudging aro= und to get it to start hot. Per Mistral, my injectors are large so I think= I may need to go leaner (about 10 o' clock currently) when hot...or so my= preliminary feeling is such. For those who are not there yet, you pretty = much have to start over with base mapping every time you get your units bac= k from Tracy. I don't know what my EGT's were when I = ran it up the other day. My EGT readings have not been w= orking properly and I have yet to determine why or a solution as of yet.
