Unfortunately I haven't had much time lately to work on the plane or the engine installation. I have been finishing up my PPL which will be finished in the next month.  I have purchased all the components for the engine installation with exception of the turbo, intercooler and other related components. Seeing how the others on the list do with their turbo install.

I have been working on the turtle back, fuselage is on the gear, the canard is finished, wings are glassed, ready to cut the ailerons and install winglets. I have all steam gauges, but will probably go to a glass panel when I am ready. The prices have dropped so much from when I started the project. I plan to have the engine hanging on the airframe by the end of the year. Still little bit of work left to do, but I'm getting pretty excited about finishing it up. I have my name on the waiting list for hangers at several airports, but I have plenty of room in my three car garage to assemble the entire plane.

I will post some pictures. Have to get them from my computer at the house. I need to post new pictures on my project website. I haven't updated it since 2007.

David,
I never was sure why Bulent switched to Lycoming..........He had a beautiful (to a gear-head)
installation.............My 13B/ RD1C is much like his except my engine is not a "Cosmo" and I
am using a earlier RX7 auto transmission bell housing and the only other extended input shaft
that Tracy agreed to make (ever according to him)............I do have a 13B "Cosmo" and bell
housing waiting in the wings though...........Be interested in seeing photos of your project and
any details you would care to share...........This group  always likes to hear about any members
projects plus it has been a little quiet lately.........I am sure you have the attached photo of your
engine when in Bulent's "Cosy"..............
