Yea, I tried to anyway (didn't have the right tools), sort of 45 degree
bend and then welded onto the core at a bit of an angle so ended up
with 90 degree bend. The most clearance critical outlet ends up less
than 1.5" from the core (parallel to the core).

Since I haven't added any hose fittings to my system yet, I'm starting
to think about maybe using 3/4" tubing for the fittings, and silicone
hose.
