Charlie,

I have been trying to fit the rx7 alternator and the Toyota waterpump into
my installation with frustration.  I took the alternator to  Advance
Autoparts and placed it next to a Denso replacement.  The replacment was
about 1" smaller in diameter which may be the difference between fitting an
alternator or fitting a lycoming.  Just kidding.  I wish there was a way to
see if it fits without spendin $125.00 just to find out that it dose not
fit.  Thanks for the info.

  Hi Joe,

If you haven't bought one yet, search ebay for 'suzuki samurai
alternator'. If you intend to use the original mount point, it should
bolt right up. It's a bit lighter than the stock model, & smaller in
diameter.

Geo Metro is similar, with, IIRC, a bit less output. The numbers in the
attachment are  what's on the one in the pic, but there are quite a few
variations. Just be sure it's a Denso; some of the replacements aren't
the same quality.

BTW, pulley size might not be too big a deal on the rotary. The Lyc guys
do it because the pulley on a Lyc flywheel is about 8".

Charlie
