We ran the plane on the ground, taxied about 1/2 mile, for a total= of about 30-40 minutes, the outside temperature was 60, and the highest th= e oil or water got was 160. Hopefully it will work well in flight. I will g= et around to refining the inlet and sides of the scoop sometime this winter= .

Always a smart thing to do, Brian - if conditions aren't perfect= - especially for that first flight.  You don't need any weather distr= actions.  Looking forward to seeing how your P-51 cooling set up works= .  I was thinking as you were taxing that perhaps having the inlet und= erneath the airframe in vicinity of the ground might cause more air to flow= into it than say my nose mounted ducts during ground operations.
