Kevin,
I used the RX-8 plugs that were in my engine when I bought it for the
first 200 hrs of flight. They has 9400 miles of highway driving on
them first!
I changed them last week and could not tell any difference. They are
the iridium plugs.
On another subject - while flying Friday, I turned the cold start
switch on and the engine quit - I adjusted the mixture knob all the
way lean and it would not run. I than decided to turn the cold
start off! I'll install a switch guard on it soon.

The Renesis IS
a 13B, just the latest version.
RX-7 plugs will work fine in it. The RX-8 plugs are Iridium and they
do last longer but are not a necessity. Mine have passed the 300 hour
mark and are working fine (with very little 100LL).

my engine ran today, first time!
pretty rough, but I used the plugs that came with it.[they all seemed
to spark] my engine was built by Bruce, a 2004 renesis, but I'm not
sure which plugs to use. the rotor housings say "13B". do renesis
engines have that? consequentially, I'm not sure whether I use renesis
or rx-7 plugs, or if it really matters. if someone has some plugs that
will work and wants to sell them , let me know. looks like these plugs
run almost $25/each?
