Group,
I had an interesting exchange with Chrissi and Randi (The Cosy Girrls) concerning
the "Turbonetics" TO4-E they plan on using on their "13B powered Cosy project...
I had found that the 1.15 A/R ratio turbine housing they had for their TO4-E was
apparently only available with the "Twin Scroll" (two openings) inlet........My question
to them was if their exhaust manifold kept the 13B rotor exhaust pulses separate (no common plenum before the TO4-E)..............
Their answer was they use a common plenum because they use of a Waste gate
which is correct...........My next question was had they given thought to rounding
the flat center divider of their turbine housing to reduce turbulence and increase
flow which they may consider...........
After this long drawn out mess my main point is if your turbo turbine housing
is a "Twin Scroll" and your turbo exhaust manifold has all rotors exhaust into
a common plenum you might consider making the flat divider of the turbine hsg
more aerodynamic by rounding it for better flow...........My opinion and I am
sticking to it !!........<:).........FWIW

No we have not. We will port match it to the manifold and consider it then.

Girrrls,
Have you given any thought to rounding the flat center divider
of your turbine housing to provide a more aerodynamic and less
turbulent entry for the exhaust into your TO4-E ??..............
Thanks and Best Regards,

Kelly,
We're not keeping it split in the manifold due to needing to dump to the wastegate. On all but climb you would be dumping a lot to the wastegate.

Girrls,
I am looking at the "Turbonetics" TO4-E that I understand you have
purchased for your project.............From the Rotary Group I understand
your TO4-E has a 1.15 A/R ratio turbine housing.........Does your housing
have the split (two) inlet and if so is your exhaust manifold outlet to the
Turbo also split which effectively separates each rotors exhaust pulse from
the other ??............
Thanks,
