I need to plumb my two fuel rails on my
20b. originally it must have had rubber hose connecting them. should
I run rigid lines? AL or steel?
I used the same
braided line that I used for fuel everywhere else, but with double hose
clamps on the ends that had hose nipples rather than AN fittings. I made a
list of ID measurements of AN hose that helped me pick the proper size for these
situations. Here it is:
AN hose ID
AN-4 = 3/16”
AN-6 = 9/32”
AN-8 = 13/32”
AN-10 = ½”
AN-12 = 19/32”
AN-16 = 13/16”
I guess I'll have a braided line
from the firewall to the first rail, with the pump behind the firewall
somewhere, and another braided line for the return. somewhere I need to
insert a fuel pressure regulator, since I sawed off the one I had thinking it
was something else (duh). will it need to be in the engine
compartment?

I put mine inside the cockpit, where
the pumps are. You can see it in the photo (the red
thing).
Cheers,
Rusty (being rebellious
today)
