Anywhere in the return path to the hot side of the rad.  Drill & tap into the WP housing works good on my -4.

I am running 1 1/4" in and out.... More then enough to cool 300+ hp on my V-8.

From what I read, the radiator inlet diameter is 1.5 inches and outlet  is 1.75 inches.
