Hey Mike,
Are you planning on flying this weekend?  If so, maybe I will come down.

Had my first flight away from the immediate vicinity of my home airport today. I've been hesitant to leave because I'm surrounded by a lot of mostly unlandable mountains and desert. But the airplane has been flying well for the past few hours with nothing to do after each flight but look things over - nothing to fix.

So I ventured out over the mountains to Borrego some 50 miles away. Nothing really to report. Everything worked fine and the airplane seems to be performing well. It still seems to be matching the performance of my old 160HP RV-6A (though if the EFISM can be trusted, the fuel burn is a little higher). And at some point I think there is more performance to be had since I still think I'm giving up some HP and have some excess cooling. But those are things to address in the future. For now I'm just going to fly it.

So add another 1.3 hours to the total. 13 hours in the book, 27 more to go.
