The owner of the company actually called me in to reassure me that their need to lay me off was fincial and not work related. I would be the first re-hire if business improves. I have respect for the guy, and still consider him a friend. He went so far as to suggest I could use the company machine shop to work on my project if I wanted. Sadly California taxes both open and hidden say otherwise.
