Whoops!  Yeah it is.  6200 X 150 Turf, good condition.

Mooreland, MDF is 3500 X 60, asphalt.  That route is 40 nm further, but is actually cheaper because of the lower fuel costs.  40 nm in that ES is just a long sigh!

The FBO is Sage Aero.  Phone numbers are 580-994-9305, 580-216-0014.

Current MOGAS price on AirNav is $2.48 assisted self service.  From comments below I guess you are looking for Darrell.  FBO is open 9-5 M-F, but can call to get him to meet you.

Some comments from AirNav:

From Phil Corman on 31-Jul-2008

Darrell answered our call 50 miles out with information, and then met us at the plane ready to fuel it. We needed a ride into town to get to your hotel, and he brought us. He's a one-man show with the lowest gas, maybe in the west. We will stop here every time we are passing through.

From Jolie C. Lucas on 31-Jul-2008

$4.22 100LL. Darrell is the BEST! However, he must be there for fuel. He will respond immediately via phone call. Will go WAY beyond call of duty for you!

From Jolie C. Lucas on 31-Jul-2008

We came for fuel, and an overnight. Darrell the airport manager was there to greet us. He has worked so hard to get the airport looking great. He drove us to town [no room at the Inn because of wind turbine construction, suggest you call ahead!] We ended up flying to Amarillo. Thank you for the hospitality! Great fuel stop.

From Harry Bladow on 16-Jul-2008

Arrived Moreland at 0830 7/15/08. As indicated by the published (on AirNav.Com) for MDF, fuel service is available at 9 AM but not before. The pilot/passenger terminal is locked with a combination which was provided when I called at 8:30 AM. Fuel price is as yet, probably the lowest in the country, but will increase with the next delivery. So as usual, keep tuned. Friendly service, good place to stop, especially during the normal working/attended hours.

From Eric Horton on 14-Jul-2008

Refueled enroute to LNK before the fourth. He answered my traffic calls and refueled my airplane. I gave him a call on Saturday and he was back to fuel me on the return. He has to be there to pay. Park with your nose facing the pumps. Highly recommended if you're passing through.

Bill,

Is this airport still turf?  I'm not sure I want to do that.

That should work... (1E7).

 Mark,

If you didn’t have a computer handy, you wouldn’t be on here.

AirNav shows two routes home to refuel with Mogas.  One goes thru 1E7 at Amarillo $2.95 price, 4 NM further than a great circle route, and the other goes thru MDF at Mooreland, Ok $2.48 price, 43 NM further than a great circle route.  You do the math.

Have fun!
