Steve, I used rubber weather stripping for aircraft doors, etc.  Its relative stiff, long lasting and if you get the right shape, the air pressure helps the lips of the strip seal against radiator.  When I take off my cowl, I never have to re-seal.  May not work for your installation, but you might want to check into some of the shapes available.
