how does the EM2 determine Horsepower and Percent of power.

It determines power based on fuel flow, and fuel flow based on injector pulses. This varies from one installation to another, and is not meaningful until you have calibrated the fuel flow against measured fuel usage.  Percent power is computed based on the computed HP compared to a number that you can enter as the max power of your engine. You’ll want to review the manual for the calibration procedure.

 

One possible thing to check on your oil filter leakage is if the threads are bottoming out before the filter is tightly seated.
