Guys,

I have been flying for 2 years with the original Mazda Renesis Red 295 cc primaries and Blue 495 secondary injectors.  These injectors were with the engine when I bought it.  About 6 weeks ago I installed a new tuned intake that required me to replace the blue 495 cc Mazda injectors with 540 cc injectors Bobby Hughes had purchased but never used.  I do not know the brand of the 540 cc injectors and they do not have a distinctive color.  Bobby has been encouraging me to replace the red 295 cc primary injectors with the blue 495 cc injectors that I had removed from the original intake because he felt it would be much better to have primaries and secondaries that are similar in size.  After my ground test run at high power with only the 295 cc red primaries operating I finally agreed and replaced the red injectors with the blue 495 cc units I had removed when I installed the new intake.  Now I am running with blue 495 cc units as my primaries and Bobby's 540 cc injectors as my secondaries.  I hope to do some more MAP tuning and fly with these injectors tomorrow.
With the primaries OFF I can operate the engine at full power on the ground.  I do not see any appreciable performance difference with the primaries off or on at full power.
Because of the recent injector size changes my fuel flow and HP numbers will need to be recalibrated.
