Bob,
Not quite sure which Bob you are referring to! But I had a piston at the Rotary Roundup, it came out of a Cessna 150. On my 1st solo cross country of my pilot training, I had the engine go out. Had to land in a cotton field, The exhaust valve broke on the # 1 cylinder, then all the debris took out the others. I was able to put the plane down with no additional damage.
