I don't know what software version you have Mike but hopefully you have the snubber update.  (the last thing I want to do right now is more updates : )

If you have the new mode 2 (injection dynamic range), do that BEFORE mode 1 or 9 or autoprogram.

James,

Good question. It is already installed in a ELSA Weight Shift Trike (N209WF). The engine was purchased brand new
from a closed auto dealer in 2006, and installed on the trike by the trike dealer. The trike is a Russian made RW-50, 2 seater.

http://www.redwings.ru/produkt1.htm  - bottom two on that page are closest to what I have.

It was delivered to me summer of 2007. I readied it for FAA inspection and attempted to start her up, and start EC2 tuning then. That worked up to about 3000 RPM but the installed coils and igniters burned out. After removing the EC2/EM2 I decided the whole electrical system was in need of retrofit. That's is what I have been doing, along with replacing the original coils with ones specified by Tracy. TC also reprogrammed my EC2 for the D580 coils, and ran though diagnostics/upgrades.

===== Now this question is for the group. I believe my next steps are... is to tie the craft down and:

1. Adjust Mode 3 fuel injector flow at a MAP of around 22
2. Run Mode 9 autotune for the full MAP range and RPM (max 5600). Also,
adjust prop pitch so that it maxes out at 5600 RPM.
3. Fine tune any engine running hickups using Mode 1 for specific MAP addresses.

Does that sound like the right EC2 steps?  Any other things to consider?

Thanks!
