Thanks to all who weighed in so far. Especially that one about "Replace the GEO with a Rotary" ;-), why did that not surprise me.
Based on your comments, I pulled out my GEO manual (I have it and the EC2 manuals with me
daily on my bus ride to/from work). Looking at the diagrams on the Crank Position Sensor I think I may have located an issue. That theme of 'ignition' & 'timing' was the key.
My EC2 is 'special' :) . It has wiring for two CPS, one for each controller A & B. I think I may have plugged A into B, and visa versa. The soonest I can try again will be Tuesday night. I will post a status on Wednesday.
My system is the Z-19 RB (rear battery). It follows Bob's diagram pretty much as described, except for the areas of the EC2, coil, injector, and fuel pumps 1 & 2. His diagram sort of leaves that portion up to the implementer. Mine has dual power feeds for each of those components, with a switch for each fuel pump (via relays), and the EC2/Coil/Injector turning ON/OFF together via a set of redundant switches (two switches, each switch has on/off control for three circuits). The EC2 is wired simply on/off, while the coils and injector power are switched on/off through independent relays.
My diagrams are all drawn on paper, so I'm not able to upload at this time.
Thanks again, I'll post my results on Wednesday.
