If you need to add a note to your posting that it's "off subject" or unrelated to flying rotary it doesn't belong here. Please refrain from posting this kind of thing to the FlyRotary list, regardless of how much of a community service you may think it is.  We get enough unwanted email as it is and I don't want the FlyRotary list to stray off topic and add to the problem.  Please don't reply to this either.  Stick with FlyRotary related postings.  Thanks.

after several requests from friends to join facebook, i thought i'd give it a
look.  i have a new laptop which runs vista64.  it constantly asks for
confirmation that i really know what i'm doing.  so i was clicking thru
facebook setup, clicking away, CONTINUE, yes, RUN, yes, DID I START THIS, yes,
yes, yes, when i realized that one default is to mail an invitation to join to
everyone in your address book.  mine has 1200 entries.  i have been getting
responses from people i don't even remember who they are.
it embarrasses me that people on flyrotary might think that i am trying to
gain 1200 "friends".  i also mention this so that you, too,  might not become
a spam generator.   remember when we laughed when our parents tried to call
someone using the TV remote?   i guess this is payback time!   :-)      kevin
