While at Sun & Fun I stopped by to take a look at the new Sensenich ground adjustable prop. They had the hub and prop blade stubs. The prop blades shown in the display were hollow without any core, not certain but the skin of the blade near the hub looked to be approx 1/8 – 3/16 “ thick – seemed a bit on the thin side, but then also appeared to be perhaps carbon fiber. I guess they could have a core that was just not present in the exhibit blades.
The hub had six bolts with a “pitch block” which is inserted in the front of the hub to lock the blades to the correct pitch. Certainly looked interesting – however, the largest pitch they had listed was 60”. I asked if they were going to produce blades with greater pitch and the representative told me – they could if necessary.
So you might want to check if looking for an adjustable pitch prop.

Hi Kelly, I have the 4-blade HP Warp Drive, it is 74” diameter, set to 14 degrees or 58” pitch. I’m using it on my 13B powered Wag-Aero 2+2 which is a high wing tail-dragger, 110 mph airplane; I’m happy with the performance. The prop is easy to adjust for pitch and is quite a bit lighter than an aluminum 2-blade.

Subject: [FlyRotary] Warp Drive Prop
A little off subject but is anyone in the group currently flying a "Warp Drive" prop ??.......If so
what is your opinion ??.............I just bought this one for my dorment "CASSUTT" project (To be
Rotary powered of course)...............This is a 60" diameter, HI-PERF model bought for a RV-4 to
be powered by 160 hp , 0-320 Lycoming............Should be just right for a short legged CASSUTT
that is limited to about 60" prop diameter and powered by 160 hp+ Rotary...............Prop has never
been used..............I would not put one of these on a hard thumping 4 cylinder Lyc but believe that
it work well on one of our smooth/geared Rotarys.............All opinions valued pro or con !!.............
