Has anyone used the lapping services of Lapp Tech (they said that Bruce T.) has used them in the past. The guy I talked with on the phone wasn't overly familiar with the 13B except for the fact that could do the job and had done so in the past for Bruce. He said I would need to remove a large and a small tube but he couldn't describe in very much detail on which housing they resided, etc. My questions therefore are:
1. What is the current concensus on getting housing lapped to .003? My wear is only .002 and it seems some on the list have ignored this amount and simply rebuilt it as it.
2. What tubes (water pipes I'd assume) need to be removed inorder for a company to lapp them?
3. Are there any companies out there known that will re-nitride the housings or is this a mute point if only shaving .003?
Thanks for any information.
