I have never run a fuel sump on my -6A, but have
filters between the tank and selector valve. originally I choose
inexpensive fabric(?) filament filters with the idea that I would simply replace
them every annual. one year I found fibers in the intake screen of the
carb. they are very difficult to see because they are basically clear,
especially when wet with fuel. so now I have the glass case metal screen
filters, with I thought I'd could check before each flight, but admittedly
don't. kevin
