I got a 25 gallon standard international steel drum, DOT approved. I use a Fill Rite 12 volt transfer pump, also DOT approved. I strap it into the back of my Toyota pickup, also DOT approved.
One day some guy came up to me while I was filling it and told me 'You have to put that on the ground to fill it!"
I told him it's a steel DOT approved container, and it's grounded to the steel bed of my truck....he ran off to the attendant kid with his arms waving in the air! (WAAAA WAAA !!!!) The attendant was very friendly and stood by to keep the peace.
The 'idiot' stood at the back of my truck stareing at me filling. If he thought I was going to blow up, maybe he would stand somewhere else?
