Chris,

You know there's a simple test for alcohol, right? Just get a tall 
skinny glass bottle and mark the side about 1" up from the bottom. Add 
water to the mark. Top off with the gas in question, cap and shake 
vigorously. Set it down & wait a couple of minutes. If there's alcohol 
in the gas, the apparent level of water in the bottle will be above your 
mark.
