It is a straight through chamber. With a flashlight, you can see all the way up into the manifold. So, I figure that almost anything would be an improvement from what I'm running now. Stay tuned... Has anyone figured out what "spec= ial B2 stainless"=20 is? Sounds like it was created in the marketing dept.

Subject: [FlyRotary] My New DNA=20 Muffler

Hey Guys,

My new DNA muffler arrived yesterday so I= =20 thought I would post a couple of pictures with some information and first= =20 impressions.
It appears to be very well built, all tig welded, a= nd no=20 packing to burn out.  It weighs just under 5#, which is half of what= the=20 Hushpower II weighs, so if it works, I will have reduced my fwf weight by= =20 5#.  To be totally honest, my HPII probably no longer weighs 10# as = most=20 of the innards have long departed the a/c.

The model I purc= hased=20 was the Gen II - Collector Series, p/n 1040.  It has 3" inlet a= nd 3"=20 outlet, with a 4" dia. body.  Total length is21", body len= gth is=20 15".  Literature says that it is good for 1000 hp, so it may ha= ve a=20 chance of lasting at least 100 hrs on my 3-rotor running for hours at=20 WOT.  We'll have to wait and see on the longevity.  I have = a decible=20 meter, so I can take some before and after readings.  Cost was $152 = with=20 shipping from Canada.

I'm going out to the airport this mornin= g to see=20 how well it fits.  More on how well it fits & works later...=20
