For the subject of cooling, you may be interested in looking at the following url http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Aeronautics-and-Astronautics/16-050Thermal-EnergyF all2002/LectureNotes/index.htm Which provides the engineering story on thermodynamics, with the last pdf on thermodynamics of heat exchangers. This does not provide cookbook answers, but there are some good analogies to electrical circuits (i.e. Ohm's law, etc.) which simplify some of the math. So if anyone want's to follow in Ed's EDDIE footsteps, this might be a good starting point. There are many other areas covered under the aeronautics faculty, including structural design. So for the frustrated engineers in the crowd, this seems like a great educational resource.
