No joy. Turns out they are a dealer, but dont
typically stock the mufflers. They had a couple a few months ago but they sold
out and are now a special order. Guess we'll have to wait on your feedback
Mark.

Re: DNA Muffler
Mike,
If you go check out the DNA muffler, and please
post a report for the group. Be sure that you're looking at the Gen II
and not the Gen I. I'm told there is a big difference in the two.
The Gen II's are much more durable, or so I'm told.
I'm considering the
1040 because of the slimmer 4" body.

Hope this turns out to be a good choice. A
functional off the shelf muffler that holds up would be great. The website
says there's a dealer just a couple miles away - might ride down today and
see if they stock it. What muffler did you order Mark, the race series? With
what inlet/outlet?
Anyone have any idea what B2 stainless
is?

[FlyRotary] DNA Muffler
Does anyone on the list have any real-life rotary
experience with the DNA Gen II muffler ( http://www.dnamufflers.com/DNA/main_DNA.html)? It is an
interesting design in that it has no packing material to burn out.
Instead, it utilizes ladder-rungs, which they call "internal sound
diffusers", which resemble a chain of DNA down through the center of
the muffler body, which is made of 304 SS. Their web site claims
that the racers use them with great success. From speaking with a
sales rep, they claim there the rotary crowd uses them too. I'm
considering purchasing one of their FULL THROTTLE COLLECTOR mufflers (P/N
1040), but thought I would check to see if anyone else has used this
style muffler. This muffler has a 3" inlet/outlet with a 4"
body. So it is compact enough to fit inside my cowl. My
exhaust header has a 3" swivel joint, so it should be a good fit.
