Chris
I don’t know your arrangement, but
between the fuel rail and the regulator should be fine; and that is still
between the filter and the regulator – right? My opinion on fuel
system arrangement on the Velocity is screen at tank exit – water/sediment separation in the
sump tank – FI pumps – high pressure filter (~30 micron) –
fuel rail – pressure regulator – return to sump. Having the sensor
downstream from the filter gives you a clue if your filter is getting
clogged. Filter should have a flow rating about 50 gallons/hr for the
times you might have both pumps on at the same time.
All the best,
Al

Re: Fuel pressure sensor placement
Chris;
If
you are using at least 3/8” dia lines, anywhere between the filter and
the pressure regulator should be fine.

Subject: [FlyRotary] Fuel pressure
sensor placement
I am getting the bugs worked out of
my systems and trying to add one thing at a time as not to screw up what is
working. I have a fuel pressure regulator with a gauge on it in the
engine compartment. I am at a point where I want to add
my fuel pressure sensor so I can read the pressure on the EM2, however, I am
unsure as to where the sensor should be placed in the fuel lines. I do
have a very convenient place I could put it between the regulator and the
Mistral fuel rail. It seems that would give me an accurate reading, but I
am unsure of what all to consider. So, what should I be considering?
