I just finished my canopy fairings, Randy.  Because the curve was so slight, and the layup so narrow, I just put down a couple layers of packing tapes in the intersection.  Then I added a strip on each side to protect the canopy and body.  Three layers of 8.4oz harness weave glass, a layer of 0.75oz straight weave glass, and then a layer of cheap, rip-stop nylon that I got from Wal-Mart as a peel-ply. A strip of 1" wide blue painter's tape under the clear packing tape provide an excellent guide for lining the edges up.
