I have a boost gauge made by VDO. It reads both suction
0-30hg and boost 0-+25hg. The center scale (0) is at the 1 o'clock
position or there 0-+about.
I thought that this is what I need to
monitor the turbo boost level, but now, I don't have a clue. I'm not sure what
this gauge is going to show me.

Hi
Steve,
Marvin did a good job of
explaining all this, so hopefully, your set now. I'll state again,
that if I could only have one gauge, I'd want a MAP gauge, that went from 0
to about 50 in hg. That's probably the best solution for a plane. I
currently fly with only a vacuum/boost gauge, but that's only
because I'm waiting for the MAP instrument that's built into the
EC-2. In other words, this is the one gauge I want, and the boost
gauge is just gravy, as Marvin would put it :-)
Cheers,
Rusty
