I think I figured it out.  Someone please look this over and let me know I did it right.

I found a previous posting talking about ways to set TDC, so I rotated the crank to put the counterweight at 9 O’clock and at the same time checked for air blowing out the #1 spark plug hole.

In another post I found a diagram that shows the TDC position on the position sensor plate three teeth after the single flat spot.

You can see both ends of the crank in the two pictures.  I think it is correct.

Lynn,

Here is a piece of the picture from the book.  Will the position sensor  work with the plate on either direction?  I can put the plate on as shown, or flip it around 180 degrees.  But then the two flat spots are on the opposite side.  I don’t know if this plate needs to be aligned with the rotors or something else so that the position sensor works correctly.

Here is a picture of my current progress.  Tomorrow I hope to get more parts
added.

The question for today is about the Eccentric shaft position plate.  I can
put it on two ways, 180 degrees out from each other.  I assume the stamped
arrow goes out, but how do I know which way to put the plate on?  Or does it
even matter?  The repair manual doesn't specify.

Chris

I am not familier with that term. What is it you need to know?
